De Gereja Protestan Indonesia Nederland is een kerk op reformatorische grondslag met evangelische invloeden, maar tevens met een oecumenische doelstelling. De naam betekent “Indonesisch-Nederlandse Protestantse Kerk"; doorgaans verwijst het Indonesische woord “Protestan” specifiek naar “protestants”.
