George Strait
George Harvey Strait (Poteet, Texas, 18 mei 1952) is een Amerikaanse countryzanger. Hij had zijn eerste nummer één hit in 1982 met Fool Hearted Memory. Sindsdien heeft hij vele hits gehad.

George Strait heeft in de countryscene de meeste platinum onderscheidingen en is na Elvis en the Beatles de meest onderscheiden artiest in alle genres. Strait staat sinds 1981 onder contract bij MCA Nashville Records.
Strait werd in 2006 opgenomen in de Country Music Hall of Fame.
