Gama (modelauto's)
Gama was een Duitse fabrikant van modelauto's. Men deed dit voornamelijk in de schaal 1:43.

De Firma Gama werd in 1881 door Georg Adam Mangold opgericht. De firma was gevestigd in Fürth. Sinds 1924 maakt het ook speelgoed. Men maakte onder andere blikken modelauto's.
Rond 1980 werd Gama door de firma Trix-Mangold GMBH overgenomen, terwijl Gama zelf grote concurrent Schuco overnam. Waar Gama zich aanvankelijk op blik richtte, heeft het zich vanaf de jaren 70 meer en meer op de modelautofabricage toegelegd. In 1994 werd de productie van Gama bij de oude concurrent Schuco ondergebracht. Sedertdien zijn er ook geen eigen producten meer ontwikkeld.
In 1996 werd moederfirma Trix overgenomen door Märklin.
In 1999 werd Schuco door Simba/Dickie overgenomen, waardoor de naam Gama leek te verdwijnen. In 2000 werd op de Neurenberger Spielwarenmesse een nieuw blikken model gepresenteerd, maar de hoge prijs (125 euro) zorgde voor weinig succes. In 2001 werd de naam Gama dan ook niet meer gevonden op de beurs.
