De club werd in 1906 opgericht als FC Preußen 06 Ratibor. In 1921 werd FC veranderd in SV. Na het einde van de oorlog werd Ratibor een Poolse stad. De Duitsers werden verdreven en alle Duitse voetbalclubs werden ontbonden.
