Abel Fernando Moreira Ferreira (Penafiel, 22 december 1978), ook wel bekend als Abel is een oud Portugees profvoetballer, welke speelde als rechtsback bij verschillende Portugese clubs en nu trainer is van Braga B.

Hij begon zijn carrière bij de club in z'n geboorteplaats Penafiel. Daar speelde hij 63 wedstrijden en vertrok toen naar Vitória Guimarães. In 2004 maakte hij de overstap naar Braga. Daar speelde hij in totaal 43 wedstrijden, waarin hij 0 keer tot scoren kwam.
