Critical reception

Rik Ambelle from Crawley News noted the song as "haunting".[3] Pop Rescue wrote that it is "stronger" than the previous songs on the Stars album, "with its bass and piano hooks". They added that Hucknall "takes a harder lyrical and vocal approach, almost menacing at times."[4] Johnny Dee from Smash Hits described the song as a "great tune" and "dreamy and wafty" in his review.[5]
