Yetgaon

Yetgaon is a village situated in Kadegaon taluka in Sangli district, Maharashtra state, west-central India. It is about 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) north-west of Vita (a taluka place of Kadegaon). More than 5000 people are living in Yetgaon. About 200 hectares of artificial forest is developed in Yetgaon. It is spread along the boundary of Yetgaon and towards Mhasurne (another village in Satara district) and Kherade (another village in Sangli district).

God Shree Dharmaraj temple is a favorite place in Yetgaon and many people from adjacent villages come here for worship on a regular basis. The main business of residents is farming. It is in a low rainfall region.

Shri Dharmaraj Vidyalaya Yetgaon is the high school present in Yetgaon. It is associated with Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, Satara. One major thing for which Yetgaon is famous that there has been no wine shop is in operation within village for last 32 years. Due to that Yetgaon is known as Ideal Village.

In yetgaon village there are many temples which is vitthal-rukhmini temple, mahadev temple, khandoba temple, satwai devi temple, laxmi temple, makhubai temple, makhavati devi temple etc.

In yetgaon all types of religion peoples are live in the village which is ideal for adjusant villages.

Yerla river is the main river of yetgaon which is flow between the yetgaon(Tal.- kadegaon) and hingangade(Tal.- khanapur)
