Yebin

Yebin or Ye-bin is a Korean feminine given name. It is an indigenous Korean language name, meaning that it is not composed from Sino-Korean morphemes and is not written in hanja. It is derived from the attributive verb yeppida (예삐다), which is the Gyeongsang dialect form of yeppuda, meaning "to be pretty". However it is incidentally homophonous with the Sino-Korean word yebin (禮賓) meaning "etiquette".[1][2] People with this name include:

  • Yebin Mok (born 1984), South Korean-born American figure ice skater
  • Yoo Ye-bin (born 1992), South Korean beauty queen
  • Baek Ye-bin (born 1997), South Korean singer, member of girl group DIA
  • Kang Yaebin (born Kang Ye-bin, 1998), South Korean singer, member of girl group Hinapia
  • Jung Ye-bin (born 1982), South Korean singer, member of girl group Cleo (band), active 2004-5
