Yasha Levine

Yasha Levine is a Russian-American investigative journalist and author. Levine, who was born in the Soviet Union, is a former editor of Moscow-based satirical newspaper The eXile.[2][3] He is the author of the 2018 book Surveillance Valley: The Secret Military History of the Internet.[4] The New Yorker positively reviewed Surveillance Valley, calling it "forceful" and "salutary."[5] Levine has also written several other books, including A Journey Through California's Oligarch Valley, The Koch Brothers: A Short History, and The Corruption of Malcolm Gladwell.[6] Levine was previously a correspondent at PandoDaily.[7] He has also written for Wired, The Nation, Slate, TIME, The New York Observer, and more.[8] He is a co-founder of the S.H.A.M.E. Project.
