Wu Mingqian

Wu Mingqian (Chinese: 吴敏茜; born January 8, 1961)[1] is a Chinese female chess player who holds the WGM title, which she received in 1985.

In 1985, Wu came second at the World Chess Championship Interzonal Tournament in Zeleznovodsk with a final score of 10.5/15.[2] In 1986, she came 8th (last) at the Interzonal Tournament in Malmö with a final score 3/7,[3] and in 1987 she came in 12th place at the Smederevska Palanka Interzonal Tournament with a final score of 5.5/15.[4]

Wu competed for the China women's national chess team; four times at the Chess Olympiads (1980–1986) with an overall record of 54 total games played (+21, =20, -13).[5]

She reached her highest FIDE rating of 2205 in July 1990.[6]
