World Population Conferences

Under the auspices of the United Nations, five further World Population Conferences have been held. They are:

  • First World Population Conference, August–September 1954, Rome, Italy
  • Second World Population Conference, August–September 1965, Belgrade, Yugoslavia
  • Third World Population Conference, August 1974, Bucharest, Romania
  • Fourth World Population Conference, August 1984, Mexico City, Mexico
  • Fifth World Population Conference on population and development, September 1994, Cairo, Egypt.
