World Population Conferences
Under the auspices of the United Nations, five further World Population Conferences have been held. They are:
- First World Population Conference, August–September 1954, Rome, Italy
- Second World Population Conference, August–September 1965, Belgrade, Yugoslavia
- Third World Population Conference, August 1974, Bucharest, Romania
- Fourth World Population Conference, August 1984, Mexico City, Mexico
- Fifth World Population Conference on population and development, September 1994, Cairo, Egypt.
- A World Population Conference was held in Geneva in August and September 1927, organized by the League of Nations and Margaret Sanger.
