Wo Mei

Wo Mei (Chinese: 窩美) is a village in the Hebe Haven area of Sai Kung District, Hong Kong.

History

Wo Mei had a population of 66 in 1911, 30 male and 36 female.[1]

The Chapel of The Immaculate Conception (聖母無原罪小堂) was established in 1930[2] and was consecrated on January 20, 1957 by Bishop Lorenzo Bianchi.[3] The roof of the chapel was damaged by Typhoon Wanda in 1962.[4][5]
