Weda Hamine
Weda Hamine is a 1990 Sri Lankan ayurvedic teledrama which broadcast on Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation. This teledrama is directed by Jayantha Chandrasiri as his first television serial. This drama shot on 1988 and aired in 1990.[1] It follows the story of a young woman cures a cancer of rich businessman.[2] The serial stars Rebeka Nirmali as titular role along with Kamal Addararachchi, Sriyantha Mendis and Edward Gunawardhana.[3]

Plot
In 1990, Deemantha is a young dancing teacher. One Day, Deemantha diagnosed with lung cancer while he practising a dance. Deemantha's mother, Maya and adopted uncle, Dharmapriya gets shocked after hearing that. Deemantha learns that he had fallen with a Lung cancer which his father, Gunendra is also diagnosed. He thinks that his father is died from that cancer. But, Dharmapriya informs that Gunendra's dead reason is not that cancer and it's a long story. Deemantha gets amazed and requests him to tell the story.
Then, the story flashes back to 1958 when Gunendra and Dharmapriya were best friends. Gunendra is a rich businessman who is also clevered to play music. One day, he is diagnosed with lung cancer while he is playing a saxophone. His doctor informs that Gunendra's life is limit to 3 months. Meanwhile, Dharmapriya learns about an Ayurvedic doctor who had cured a cancer from a advertisement which give him a Thalakiriyagama village man named Appuhami. Then, he goes to Thalakiriryagama with Gunendra for meet the doctor. The doctor cures him and advices him to stay away from alchohol. But, after returning, Gunendra forgets Ayurvedic doctor's advices and uses so much alchohol with dismay of his wife, Maya and friend Dharmapriya. As a result of this, Gunendra diagnosed with Lung cancer again after 2 years.
Gunendra returns to Thalakiriyagama and learns that the doctor had died before 6 months. He gets shocked and tries to return. But, Doctor's daughter Mangali informs that she can try. Then, Mangali cures him. Gunendra realises that he has fallen with Mangali and marries her.
After some time, Gunendra returns to his home and live with Maya who is pregnant with Gunendra's child. One Day, Appuhami visits to Dharmapriya's office and informs that Mangali is also pregnant with Gunendra's child. Dharmapriya gets angry and informs it to Gunendra. He gets shocked and visits to Mangali's home. Mangali advices him to keep his marriage with Maya. After so much pressure, Gunendra goes to beach and commits suicide. Then, Dharmapriya takes Maya's responsibility. After that, Maya delivers a boy named Deemantha while Mangali is also delivers a boy. The past story ends after that.
After hearing the past story, Deemantha gets shocked. Next Day, He visits to Thalakiriyagama with his mother and uncle. Mangali is now grows old and lives with her son. She sees a car parked at her home while mading medicines. Then, She sees Dharmapriya, Maya and Deemantha and gets amazed. Finally, She tells her son that his relatives are come.
