Walter Benington

Walter Benington (18721936)[1] was a British photographer whose work is heavily represented in the National Portrait Gallery. Benington joined the Linked Ring in about 1893 and exhibited with them thereafter. From 1927 he worked as a freelance portrait photographer for Elliott & Fry. His sitters included Ellen Terry, Albert Einstein and Arthur Conan Doyle.[2]
