The Walnut Valley Sailing Club is a private sailing club located in El Dorado, Kansas (United States), on the shore of El Dorado Lake.[1]

History
Walnut Valley Sailing Club was established in 1937 as Wichita Sailing Club (WSC) at Santa Fe Lake, in Augusta, Kansas. WSC was the home of Snipe Fleet #93. In 1985, the club changed name and location, moving to El Dorado Lake and adopting the actual name.[2]
Sailors
Ted A. Wells won the 1947 and 1949 Snipe Worlds, the 1952 Western Hemispheres and three National Championships (1947, 1949, and 1952). He was Snipe Class International Racing Association (SCIRA) Commodore in 1954, and published “Scientific Sailboat Racing” His boat "Good News III" (Sail number 6025) is stored at Mystic Seaport.[3]
