Vuokatti

Vuokatti is a village, a forested hill range and a rail transport location in Sotkamo, Kainuu, Finland. The village is home to more than 6,000 inhabitants,[1] making it the second most populous urban area in Kainuu after the town center of Kajaani.[2]

The highest hill in the region is the 345 meter high Porttivaara,[3] the second tallest being Vuokatinvaara with its highest peak, Iso-Pölly.[4]

There is a ski resort, sports academy, and the Katinkulta resort in Vuokatti.[5][6][7][8] There is also a skiing tunnel, which makes cross-country skiing possible at all seasons.[9] Snowboarding and snowtubing tunnels can also be found there.[10]
