Vladimir Zelenbaba

Vladimir Zelenbaba (Serbian Cyrillic: Владимир Зеленбаба, pronounced [ʋlǎdimiːr zelêŋbaba]; born February 6, 1982) is a footballer who plays with SC Waterloo Region in the Canadian Soccer League.[1][2]

Career

Zelenbaba began his career in the Serbian First League and had stints with FK Železničar Beograd, FK Hajduk Beograd, FK Radnički Pirot, and FK Inđija.[3] In 2007, he went abroad to play with Zorya Luhansk in the 2006–07 Ukrainian Premier League.[4][5] After his brief stint in the Ukraine to went to Kazakhstan to play with FC Kaisar and FC Ordabasy.[6] In 2010, he returned to Serbia to play with FK Zemun and had a stint in Azerbaijan with Kapaz PFK.[7]

In 2012, he went overseas to Canada to sign with SC Waterloo of the Canadian Soccer League.[8] In 2013, he reached the finals of the CSL Championship where Waterloo faced Kingston FC, where during the match Zelenbaba recorded two goals to capture the club's first championship by a score of 3-1.[9][10] In 2014, he was loaned to NK Travnik of the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the following he signed with Bangkok F.C. of the Thai Division 1 League.[11][12] In summer 2016, Zelenbaba joined OFK Balkan Mirijevo.[13]

Managerial career

In 2016, he was the head coach for the FK Voždovac U-13 team.[14]He was a player-coach in 2017 for SC Waterloo Region, and became associated with ProStars FC as an academy coach.[14]
