Vito Chimenti

Vito Chimenti (born 9 December 1953, in Bari) is an Italian former football player and later a manager, who played as a striker.

Club career

During his club career, Chimenti played as a striker for several Italian teams in Serie A, Serie B and Serie C.[1] He scored the opening goal for Palermo in the opening minute of the 1978–79 Coppa Italia final, which eventually ended in a 2–1 loss against Juventus.

After retirement

After he retired from playing football, Chimenti became assistant manager.

Personal life

Vito is the brother of former football forward Francesco Chimenti, and the uncle of former goalkeeper Antonio Chimenti.[2]
