Victorious Return

Victorious Return', (Russian: Возвращение с победой) is a 1947 Soviet film directed by Aleksander Ivanov[1] and Pavel Armand.[2] The film was created on the basis of the Riga Film Studio.[3]

Plot

The film is based on the play Victory by Vilis Lācis. Lieutenant of the Soviet Army Augusts Grieze was captured as a result of treachery. The Germans are struggling to lure him into their ranks, but he refuses, so the Germans on the radio ask the Latvians to stop in the name of Augustus. Will the main character get out of captivity?[4]
