Vengal Rao

Vengal Rao is an Indian comedian who works in Tamil language films. He is known for his comedic acts with Vadivelu. Rao debuted in the film industry as a stunt artist.

Career

Rao moved from Vijayawada to Chennai to pursue a career as a stunt artist. He went on to make his acting debut in Kattumarakaran. His inability to speak Tamil was a burden to his initial career with the actor moving to and from Vijaywada and Chennai several times to find a job. He worked as a stunt artist for several actors including Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, and Ramki. As a stunt artist, Rao suffered from hair loss.[1] Vadivelu convinced Rao to do move on to acting and hence Rao became a comedic artist.[2] He made his television debut with the serial Jimikki Kamal on Sun Life channel.[1]
