Vasai-Virar Mayor's Marathon

Vasai-Virar Mayor's Marathon is an annual marathon race organised in Vasai-Virar area of Mumbai. Vasai-Virar City Municipal Corporation. Every Year Participants from all over Vasai Taluka & from the country take part in the Marathon.[2][3][4] It is established in 2011.

Events

Full Marathon

The Full Marathon (42.195 km) starts from Viva College (Virar, West) and also finishes at Viva College. Free transport facilities are available from Virar railway station for all Full Marathon participants.

Half Marathon

The Half Marathon (21.097 km) starts from outside the Vasai Tahsildar Office, Opp. Vasai Court, Vasai Village will finishes at Viva College. Free Transport facilities to the start point is available from outside Vasai Road railway station.

Race day photos

In the fifth edition of the race, the organizers in association with SplitSecondPix[5] offered each participant one free race day photo which was searchable by their BIB number.[6] Each participant could choose and download one free photo of their choice and in case they wanted more, they could do so by paying a nominal fee.

In the sixth edition held in 2016, they went a step ahead and offered all photos free of cost to each participant for the Indiabulls Housing Loans Vasai-Virar Mayor's Marathon 2016.[7]

Also, in the seventh edition held in 2017, participants enjoyed Free photos at the Indiabulls Housing Loans Vasai-Virar Mayor's Marathon. The photos received great appreciation and created a buzz on social media. Vasai-Virar set a new benchmark in providing Race Day photos in India.[8]
