Valkyrae

Rachell Hofstetter (born January 8, 1992), better known by her online alias Valkyrae, is a Filipino-American video-game streamer. She currently streams and posts videos on YouTube, mostly playing a plethora of different games and genres.[1]

Biography

Hofstetter was born in Washington. While attending community college, she worked at GameStop.[2] She began a gaming channel on Instagram, and soon transitioned to Twitch. After gathering a following, she began posting gaming videos on YouTube.[2] She is the first female gamer and content creator for 100Thieves,[3][4] a competitive American esports team. Hofstetter is an advocate for women in online gaming, sometimes playing games on all-female teams.[2] On January 13th, 2020 Valkyrae left Twitch for an exclusive contract on YouTube[5].

In the 2018 Fortnite Pro-Am competition, Valkyrae teamed up with celebrity music producer Murda Beatz.[7] In the 2019 Pro-Am Valkyrae teamed up with Los Angeles Chargers player Justin Jones.[9]
