Turmeric tea is one of the most effective and popular ways to consume turmeric. It is brewed using pure powder or grated turmeric root. According to several homeopathic doctors and health care practitioners, the consumption of turmeric tea enhances its benefits as compared to its use in powder form. Most of the research studies recommend to take 400 to 600 mg (milligrams) of pure turmeric powder thrice a day in the form of turmeric tea. However, the suggestion of daily intake may vary for some different conditions. [2]

Japanese drink brand Kirin produced "Kirin decomposition tea" (Japanese: 分解茶), a drink containing several teas including turmeric, in 2007[3].
