Tu Jaane Na

"Tu Jaane Na" (Urdu: تو جانے نا transl.You don't know) is a song from 2009 film Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani sung by Pakistani singer Atif Aslam. The song was composed by Pritam Chakraborty and lyrics were penned by Irshad Kamil.[1] Reprise version was sung by Soham Chakrabarty, Rana Mazumder and Ashish Pandit. Remix version was by DJ Suketu and unplugged version was sung by Kailash Kher, Naresh and Paresh. All versions have same lyrics but different compositions.

The song was released on 19 October 2009 by Tips Music on YouTube. As of 10 May 2020, the song has received 108 million views.[2]

Music video

The music video of song features Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. Video begins when Katrina runs and makes a wish after seeing a broken star. Ranbir is in love with Katrina. He is seen sitting on stairs and standing sitting. Sometimes, he is seen with her. The video also gives us a glimpse of their happy days.

Reception

Atif expressed feeling of love for this song. Choreographer Ahmed Khan proposed that this song should be shot in Turkey.

Samir Dave, a critic of Planet Bollywood said that if you are looking for an enjoyable potpourri of different musical styles, and melody, then you will love what Pritam has served up for. It deserves to be at the top of the charts.[3] Tabla is used in the son.[4][5]
