Toufiq M. Seraj

Dr. Toufiq M. Seraj (1956 – June 20, 2019)[1] was a Bangladeshi businessman who was the founder and managing director of Sheltech and its associated companies. He was the first president of Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) for three consecutive terms (2000–2006). Toufiq was also a president of Bangladesh Institute of Planners and Bangladesh Tennis Federation. [2][3]

Early life and education

Toufiq was born on 1956. He completing graduation and post-graduation from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Later he earned his PhD in Civic Design from University of Liverpool. He was formerly held academic positions at BUET. [4]

Personal life

Toufiq was married to Zeba Islam Seraj, Bangladeshi scientist a Professor at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Dhaka. They had two daughters.
