Tony Bignell

Tony Bignell (born 16 November 1989) is an English actor and singer, best known for playing Matt in BBC Three sitcom Coming of Age. He was the lead singer of British rock band, Exit Black.

Career

At the age of 12 he won a full scholarship to the Sylvia Young Theatre School. His first main role was playing Lenny, son of Frank Skinner in the ITV sitcom, Shane. As well as his role in Coming of Age, Bignell has also starred in The Bill as a recurring character for three episodes over three years 2003–2005, My Family as two different characters in two episodes in 2003. In 2004 he appeared as several different characters in the CBBC show Stupid. In 2007 he starred in Miss Marple as a NewsBoy, Casualty as Little Andy Palmer and Doctors as Miky Scott. In 2014, Bignell decided to stop acting to focus on his singing career.
