Tikka Sankaraiah

Tikka Sankaraiah (transl.Crack Sankaraiah) is a 1968 Telugu-language comedy film, produced by D. V. S. Raju under the D.V.S. Productions banner[3] and directed by D. Yoganand.[4] It stars N. T. Rama Rao, Krishna Kumari, Jayalalithaa in the lead roles[5] and music composed by T. V. Raju.[6]

Plot

The film begins in a village where a bourgeois Raghavaiah (Chittoor V. Nagaiah) lives with his virago wife Kantamma (Suryakantam), two daughters Susheela (Krishna Kumari) & Rani (Jayalalitha). Since Susheela is the step-daughter of Kantamma, she scorns on her. Meanwhile, Mohan (N. T. Rama Rao) a young charm visits to fix up his alliance with Rani but he shines to Susheela. Besides, Lingaraju (Nagabhushanam) a loan shark, aspires to possess Susheela. So, he constrains Raghavaiah to knit him with Susheela on behalf of his debt. Listening to it, Mohan decides to bankroll the amount, so, he immediately returns, seeks his father Kodandaramaiah (Dr. Sivaramakrishnaiah) one that refuses. So, Mohan has to quit the house when his mother (Hemalatha) aids with her jewelry. Parallelly, Lingaraju conspires with Kanthamma and forcibly attempts to conjoin Susheela when she absconds. During the plight, Kanthamma falsifies with his Devayya (Padmanabham) & Siddhanthi (Allu Ramalingaiah) and couples up Lingaraju with their dumb maid. Mohan oversights and surmises it. Soon after, Lingaraju perceives the reality when Kantamma assures him to surrender Susheela and propels Devaiah to the city. On the way back, Susheela encounters Mohan when he rebuffs as she is the spouse of Lingaraju. In that chaos, Mohan misplaces his briefcase with money which Susheela entrusts to Kodandaramaiah when he endears her virtue announces as his daughter-in-law. During the interval, Mohan ascertains the actuality by Devaiah goes in search of Susheela.

Beyond, Shankaram (again N. T. Rama Rao) a lunatic who resembles Mohan flees from the mental hospital. All at once, the staff nabs Mohan and Devaiah backpacks Shankaram to the village. After some comic incidents, Shankaram & Rani fall in love. Before long, Mohan is acquited, discovering the fact. At the juncture, Susheela gets a word from Kantamma that Mohan is zealous to wed Rani when distressed Susheela dispatches. Being cognizant of it, Mohan enters dilemma and hotfoots for Susheela. Once reaching the village, Susheela accepts Shankaram as Mohan solicits to admit the truth. Behold of it, Lingaraju backstabs Shankaram and extorts Susheela. Here, Shankaram regains his memory and reveals the identity. Just as, he is about to get off, Rani obstructs his way and proclaims her love to him. Eventually, Mohan rescues Susheela. At last, Lingaraju soothes with the dumb wife. Finally, the movie ends on a happy note with the marriages of Mohan with Susheela and Shankaram with Rani.
