Plot

A man in his twenties, Kusunoki, who can barely afford food or rent is selling everything he can to get his hands on money, when the owner of a bookstore notices he is strapped for cash after he comes in to trade his books. The shopkeeper tells him of a place which buys health, time, and lifespan. After going to another store to trade in his CDs, the cashier there notices as well, and tells him about the same shop. Kusunoki ultimately decides to go, and after having his life evaluated based on the presence of factors such as happiness, actualisation, and contribution, he discovers that his life is valued at ¥10,000 (~$100) per year. Due to the low value, he decides to sell all of his life span except for three months. Kusunoki and Miyagi spent valuable time together until Kusunoki was informed that his life was only worth only ¥1 (~1¢) per year. Miyagi only took pity on him and gave Kusunoki money which Miyagi earned from selling herself. Trying to repay Miyagi, Kusunoki was informed that the last month of his time is worth almost as much as the debt which Miyagi owns the lifespan shop. He sells his life span, and plans on spending his last 3 days carefree and lavishly. He even told everyone else that Miyagi was fake, but Miyagi come much to his astonishment and everyone could see her. Miyagi also sold all of her lifespan leaving only 3 days. They spend the last three days of their lives happily, hence the title.
