The Galaxy School

The Galaxy School (TGS)[1] is a small private co-educational school located in Rajkot, Gujarat, India. It is the only school in the Rajkot district of Gujarat which offers International Baccalaureate Program. It is a part of The Galaxy Education System schools. It is a really great school with lots facilities and it also has its own sports centre which many schools don't have. The sports centre has different courts for different sports like basketball, cricket, football,squash, table tennis.It also has a swimming pool for the students to learn swimming.And it also has its own gym. Apart from sports,this school is international boarded and also provides i-pads for easy, efficient, visual, and, technological learning.i-pads are governed and edited by a team called schoogle. For more efficient and effective learning they also provide videos in the i-pads. Apart from learning, they also have ac in each class for more comfortable and smooth learning. They also have their own transport services for students.The teachers also guide each student and help achieve their goals and overcome their weaknesses

History And Culture

The school is a part of The Galaxy Education System[2] schools established by Mr.Kiran Bhalodia. The school was established in 2009 and has been IB World School[3] since April 2009. It offers the International Baccalaureate Program in its Diploma form. The school prepares students for the IGCSE and International Baccalaureate Program's Diploma program examinations. It is one of the few SAT testing centers in the state of Gujarat.

School has an active Robotics program for students and students have represented school at global competitions like FIRST Tech Challenge under name "INC. 8" [4] and Galaxy RoboTechs[5] and FIRST Lego League.

Student Council

The student council consist of members called prefects. The prefects range from 4th to 12th standards.

First we have class prefects selected by the teachers of their respective units.

Then we have house captains and asst. house captains. The school has 4 house namely red, green, blue and yellow. Each house has one house captain. They are elected by the students of their house.

The council core positions are Head Boy and Head Girl and asst. Head Boy and Head Girl. The council is democratic (members are elected by the students). Usually, the Council is changed in August each year.
