The Bastar rebellion

The Bastar Rebellion took place in Bastar district, southern Chhattisgarh state, India in 1910. The rebellion was in reply to perceived exploitation of locals by the British colonial government. It was mainly organized by forest communities, upon whom the British government had imposed many regulations.[1][2] The rebellion was led by the Gunda Dhur, from village Nethanar[3]
