Production

Having trouble with their line up, Abominable Putridity went back and forth between band members before releasing their second album. It was recorded at Cube-Zero Studio in the year of 2010, and was finalized at Anthropocide Studio a year later. Big Chocolate would have been the vocalist on the record, had it not been for Matti Way making his replacement merely weeks before writing for the album took place.

Musical style

The Anomalies of Artificial Origin is in a death metal style with elements of both technical death metal and slam death metal.[1]

Reviews were generally positive, praising Abominable Putridity's instrumental work — especially guitarist Sergey Balayan; "Guitars are solid ... blistering solos and the slam riffs.. oohh the slam riffs." Reviewers highlighted the importance of Matti Way's vocals. American Aftermath stated that the drumming was on par with other death metal bands, however it was "linear and generic."[4]
