Popularity

The song is broadly popular in Pakistan. The song completed 100 million views in September 2018 (2 years later). It was third Coke Studio video to cross 100 million views after Tajdar-e-Haram (1st video) and Afreen Afreen (2nd video). The video made Asim 4th Pakistani artist to reach 100 million views on YouTube.[1][3] As of 10 May 2020, the song has gained 132 million views.[4][5]

Reception

Asim said about the song that it was unexpected and he was grateful that people loved it.[6] Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui in an interview with Arbaaz Khan at Quick Heal Pinch said that during shooting of film Manto, he listened to the song irrespective of the song match. He also praised artists for the song.[7][8][4]
