Tami Lancut Leibovitz

Tami Lancut Leibovitz (Hebrew: תמי לנצוט ליבוביץ; born January 7, 1949) is an Israeli consultant and author on matters of etiquette and personal image presentation.

Early life

Lancut Leibovitz was born in Tel Aviv. Her grandfather was the founder of the oil and soap factory Etz HaZaiyt (The Olive Tree).[1] He was one of the founders of the Magen David Adom – an emergency health services company. In 1967, she joined the Israel Defense Forces and completed her service in 1971 as a Staff sergeant.

In 1972, Lancut Leibovitz attended the Technion university along with public relations and advertising.

Career

Lancut Leibovitz previously worked as an interior decorator.[2] In 1979, her etiquette career started with mentoring from Hannah Bavly,[1] who had been in charge of manners training for the Israeli Foreign Ministry.[3] Her work with Bavly was the basis for Lancut Leibovitz's 1995 book A Matter of Manners.[1]

Lancut Leibovitz is the president of the Institute for Personal Image, Manners, & International Etiquette, since 1985.[4] The institute provides consultation services on etiquette for Israeli executives and politicians.[5][6][7][8][9]

She created a line of courses, workshops and training programs, based on what she calls "the TLL method", to teach a protocol of etiquette basics.

Lancut Leibovitz developed what she calls the International Business Language (IBL) Code, which provides advice on how to take into account different cultures and geographical locations when doing business or conducting political campaigns.[10][11] The IBL code also contains hospitality protocols and a code of services which Leibovitz recommends for use by hotels, restaurants and event managers while hosting state officials and key figures.[12]

She is the president of the Israeli Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.[13]
