Susan of Mar, Mistress of Mar

Susan Helen of Mar, Mistress of Mar (born 31 May 1963) is an interior designer[1] and the only child and heir presumptive of Margaret of Mar, 31st Countess of Mar.[2][3]

Early life and education

She was born in 1963, the only child of Margaret of Mar, 31st Countess of Mar, and her first husband, Edwin Noel Artiss.[2] Her parents divorced in 1976, when she was about 13 years old. That same year, her mother remarried to John Salton. After their divorce in 1981, her mother married again, to John H. Jenkin, in 1982.[2]

Susan was educated at King Charles I School in Kidderminster, and at Christe College, Cheltenham in Gloucestershire.[1]

Personal life

She married Bruce Alexander Wyllie on 10 June 1989 and has two daughters:

  • Isabel Alice of Mar (born 10 September 1991)[4]
  • Frances Alexandra of Mar (born 1 November 1994)[4]
