Susan Sandvig

Susan Sandvig-Shobe (born 13 March 1961) is an American former long track speed skater, who was active in the early 1980s. She is currently a ISU referee.[1]

Career

Sandvig represented her nation at the World Allround Speed Skating Championships for Women in 1981, finishing 28th overall.[2] Between the 1980-81 and 1982-83 speed skating season she also competed at other international competitions in Inzell and Berlin, Germany.[2]

After her career she became an ISU referee, beging a referee at international speed skating competitions. As of 2020 she is still a referee.[3][4]

Family

Her father, Gene Sandvig is also a former speed skater who competed at the 1956 Winter Olympics. Her aunt Connie Sandvig was a speed skater who competed at national level and the daughtre of Connie, Amy Peterson competed as a short track speed skater at five winter Olympics.[5]
