Career
Kurapati's career began when he used the money he earned as a photographer to complete a masters degree in Europe. After working on documentaries and short films, he made his debut as a cinematographer with Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya (2019). He met the director Swaroop after Naveen Polishetty told Kurapti about him on the sets of Life is Beautiful.[1] Sangeetha Devi Dundoo of The Hindu wrote that "Giving them ample support is the technical crew, led by Sunny Kurapati’s cinematography that accentuates the story’s mood".[2] After seeing his previous work, he was signed to work on Dorasaani.[1] In a review of the film by The Times of India, the reviewer stated that Sunny Kurapati’s cinematography lends "poise to most scenes" through the use of anamorphic lens.[3]
