Susan Francis Klebold (née Yassenoff; born March 25, 1949) is an American author and activist. She was the mother of Dylan Klebold, one of the perpetrators of the Columbine High School massacre on April 20, 1999. Dylan, along with his friend Eric Harris, murdered 12 students and one teacher, injured 24 others and then killed themselves.[3] She is the author of A Mother's Reckoning, a book about the Columbine High School massacre.

Klebold was born in Columbus, Ohio, and worked in assistance services for the disabled for many years. She is now involved in suicide prevention and the care for brain diseases.[4]

Klebold has committed to donating any profits from the book to mental health charities, research, and suicide prevention, hoping for solutions that will help parents and professionals detect and treat signs of trouble.[5]

A 2019 documentary film, American Tragedy: Love is Not Enough, profiles Klebold's journey from dealing with her son's actions to becoming a mental health advocate.[6]
