Subiksha[1] is an Indian actress who has appeared in Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil language films.

Early life

Subiksha's parents are from Bellary, and her mother is a classical dance teacher.[1] Subiksha completed her schooling at Bellary as well as in Chennai. She is a professional classical dancer and she has completed the Aadal Kalaimani course in Bharata Natyam.

Career

Subiksha made her acting debut in Bharathiraja's 2013 Tamil film Annakodi, in which she portrayed the wife of the hero.[2] The same year, she had her first starring role in her maiden Malayalam film Olipporu, as heroine of Fahadh Faasil. She played the role of an IT professional in the film.[3] [4][5][6] Her debut Kannada film Anjada Gandu got released in 2014, which is a remake of Sivakarthikeyan's Tamil film Manam Kothi Paravai, in which she was paired opposite Sathish Ninasam. She played a traditional village girl, Geetha Gowda.[7][8] [9]


In 2017, her Tamil movie Kadugu was released, in which she was paired opposite Bharath, directed by Cinematographer/Director Vijay Milton, produced by Rough Note Production and released by 2D Entertainment, Actor Suriya the movie is a commercial hit. Subiksha got recognition after Kadugu's release. Again she worked with the same director Vijay Milton in the movie Goli Soda 2 in 2018, her character name is Innocent Inba. Along with two heroines, her role and performance impressed the audience. Upcoming projects of Subiksha include Balaji Sakthivel's Yaar Ivargal, Vettai Naai directed by Jai Shankar along with Studio9's R. K. Suresh and Kannai Nambadhey, directed by Mu. Maran.
