Steven Carl Cash (November 14, 1979 - April 16, 2020)[1][2][3] was an American YouTuber, comedian and musician best known for his web series Talking Kitty Cat.

Life and career

Cash was born on November 14, 1979 in Oakland, California. [3]

Cash joined YouTube in November 2007 and uploaded his first video, "The Mean(er) Kitty Song", a few days later. In March 2008, he uploaded the first episode of the Talking Kitty Cat series. The series gradually gained popularity and became a cult hit, netting Cash over 2.5 million subscribers by the time of his death.

His most viewed video on Talking Kitty Cat is: Talking Kitty Cat 44 - BAD! BAD! BAD! with almost 19 million views.

Music ventures

Cash was the lead singer and guitarist of rock band Pause for the Cause.[4] He released two albums with the band: Pause for the Cause in 2013, and Come N' Get Some! in 2016.

Outside of Pause for the Cause, Cash recorded various covers of bands such as Sublime and Green Day, and also occasionally uploaded comedy music he recorded to his channel.

Death

Cash died by suicide by gunshot on April 16, 2020.[5][3] His death was confirmed by his wife on Facebook the following day.[6][7]
