Stenoma macroptycha

Stenoma macroptycha is a moth in the family Depressariidae. It was described by Edward Meyrick in 1930. It is found in Panama.[1]

The wingspan is 32–35 mm. The forewings are dark glossy purplish brown, the costal fold somewhat lighter and without purple gloss. In the disc, before and above the middle, is a roundish spot of brown apparently erectile hairscales. The second discal stigma is minute and grey whitish and the costal edge is shortly pale grayish ochreous beyond the end of the fold. The hindwings are grey.[2]
