Plot
The film is set in 1980's France during the early years of François Mitterrand's presidency. Florence Vannier-Buchet, a women's rights activist, is happily married to a protestant banker, Jean-Marc Buchet, and operates a major sporting goods company. During a stormy meeting of CNPF (predecessor of the MEDEF), she meets Antoine Lombard, the new Secretary of State for Universities and Socialist Activities, and elected member of the "pink wave." The two become involved in a passionate extramarital romance while trying not to sacrifice their careers filled with commitment to political change. Meanwhile, a New York cop is recruited to return to his hometown and infiltrate the mob run by his best friend's brother.
