State Flag Square

State Flag Square (Belarusian:Плошча Дзяржаўнага сцяга) is a square on Victors Avenue[2] in the city of Minsk, the capital of Belarus. It sits between the avenue and the BelExpo Exhibition Center.[3]

Inauguration

The Square was opened by President Alexander Lukashenko and Lao President Choummaly Sayasone[4][5] on July 2, 2013, during a ceremony on the square.[6]

Flag

The flag of Belarus located at an altitude of 70 metres is 14 metres long and 7 metres wide.[8] The flag is made with special waterproof fabric and weighs 25 kilograms (55 lb).[9][10] The width of the flagpole is 30 centimeters at the top, and 50 centimeters at the bottom.[11]
