History

St. Theodore's started as a medical mission ministry of Rev. and Mrs. John Staunton, a nurse by profession, in 1903, when they were assigned as missionaries by Bishop Charles Brent to Sagada. This medical ministry and initiative grew into a hospital facility, with the main building built in 1925 to serve the needs of Sagada and the surrounding communities.

Programs

Aside from emergency[3] and primary in-patient assistance,[4] the hospital also conducts alternative medical and dietary programs such as juicing and breathing exercises adapted from yoga.[5] It currently has a partnership with St. Luke's Medical Center,[6] another Anglican-Episcopalian missions hospital.
