Controversies

In September 2015 the students of the college protested against the regressive policies of the college[5] following alleged attempts to set a dress code for women,[6] which were denied by college management,[5] and alleged claims of violence[7] and "dictatorship".[5] In October 2015, students from about 100 engineering colleges joined the protest in a rally, leading to state and national attention.[5]

In March 2016, it was reported that a student committed suicide after the school took disciplinary action on the student forcing his parents to meet with the officials before he was allowed to continue education.[8]
