Soundarya Sharma

Soundarya Sharma (born 20 September 1994) is an Indian actress and model, who works in Hindi films. She was raised in New Delhi by her parents. While growing up, Soundarya pursued Bachelor of Dental studies and went on to pursue residency opportunities in a couple of hospitals in Delhi. It was during this time when she got the auditions that led her to the city of Mumbai. Once in the city, she realized that she wanted to pursue acting as a career. She has undergone formal training with the ACT 1 theatre group and the National School of Drama.[1] She is a graduate and trained classical vocalist and loves playing guitar, doing theatre, and even racing cars.[1] She will be seen in Raktanchal, her first web series [2] She is currently undertaking some workshops at Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and the New York Film Academy as she prepare for her next [3]

Career

Sharma played the lead role in film Ranchi Diaries which was produced by Anupam Kher. The film released in October 2017 and Soundarya was nominated for the ‘Best Female Debutant’ by Zee Cine Awards[4] and Star Screen Awards. She bagged the 'Best Debutante' at the Jharkhand International Film Festival[5].

She has auditioned for a role in the DC Superhero film Wonder Woman 1984 alongside Gal Gadot and Pedro Pascal.[6] Recently, the actress has also launched her own production house called Mustard and Red.[7] The young starlet, who is a favorite amidst paparazzi's bagged the Lokmat Most Stylish Diva Award in 2018 [8] Soundarya was also a part of a Times Music exclusive release titled 'Garmi Mein Chill'. [9] [10] She attended the inauguration of the state-of-the-art Metro coach – the first Metro coach under Make In India. Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi also laid the foundation stone of the Metro Bhavan at the event.[11] IIFA awards, which completes its 20th year this time around saw Soundarya grace the green carpet event in Mumbai.[12]
