Soft White Underbelly
Soft White Underbelly is a YouTube channel created by Mark Laita in 2016. The channel feature interviews with homeless people, drug addicts, prostitutes, pimps and gang members amongst others.[1] In total Mark has interviewed over 1,200 people.[2] The purpose of Soft White Underbelly is to create awareness over things that are broken in the country.[3] Laita’s subscriber count grew from just under 3,000 to nearly half a million after uploading a video Christmas Day 2019, featuring a prostitute named Kelly.[4]
