Slaughter, Texas

Slaughter, Texas was a ghost town in Midland County, Texas, USA.[1]

History

The town was founded in 1882.[1] It was named after rancher Christopher Columbus Slaughter.[1] The town had a post office from 1907 to 1912.[1]

The city of Slaughter, Texas (population: 11,284), has never had a homicide occur within its boundaries. (as of 2009)
