Sione Tuifangaloka

Sione Tuifangaloka (born 24 April 1999) is a Tongan footballer who plays as a defender for Tongan club Veitongo and the Tonga national team.[1]

Club career

Tuifangaloka started his career with Veitongo. Before that he trained with the Tonga Football Academy.

International career

In 2017 Tuifangaloka was called up by Timote Moleni for the Tonga national football team to play at the 2017 Pacific Mini Games. He made his debut on December 9, 2017, in a 4–2 loss against New Caledonia. Tuifangaloka came into action when he replaced Vai Lutu after 55 minutes. In the 66 minutes he gave the assist to Tonga's second goal scored by Kilifi Uele.[2]

Personal life

Sione has a younger brother called Opesi, born 2001, who has also played for various Tongan youth teams. They were both in the Tonga U-20 squad for the 2018 OFC U-19 Championship.
