Sinaloan dry forests

The Sinaloa Dry forest is a forest in the Mexican state of Sinaloa. It covers much of the state. It is a thorn forest having acacias and cacti. The forests are dry in the dry season which is in October to June and is green in the wet season.

The forest covers an area of approximately 29,900 sq mi (77,000 km2) and is the northernmost dry forest of Mexico.[1] It comprises a tropical and subtropical dry broadleaf forest biome.[2]

Flora

The forests has Acacia, barrel cacti such as the southwestern barrel cactus, and prickly pear cacti.
