Sikandar Shah II

Sikander Shah II (Bengali: দ্বিতীয় সিকান্দর শাহ) was briefly sultan of Bengal in 1481 CE.[1]

History

The son of Shamsuddin Yusuf Shah, Sikander Shah became sultan after his father's death but did not retain the position long. Historians Ghulam Husain and Nizamuddin Ahmad indicate he held the title for only a day or two, being removed almost immediately after his ascension because of what Banglapedia describes as "a lack of mental equilibrium".[1] His time as sultan may have lasted for as long as two months.
